ON POLITICAL DIFFERENCES

OSCAR WILDE OBSERVES
A Conservative will adopt one stray dog, and, doing no more, will consider that he has done enough.  A Liberal will not adopt any stray dogs, will deny that the Conservative has, and will then pass a law outlawing stray dogs.  He will then consider that he done more than enough.

MARK TWAIN REMARKS
A Conservative is a hedonist who is ashamed of his pleasures.  A Liberal is a masochist who is beyond all shame.
