THE DOG OF OSCAR WILDE AND THE FROG OF MARK TWAIN
FAMOUS PETS

ON: "HALF FULL OR HALF EMPTY"

OSCAR WILDE Observes:

I would rather always see the glass as half empty, rather than half full. This means that I have already drunk half a glass of a pleasantly affecting wine.

MARK TWAIN Remarks:

Given the choice I would judge the glass to be half empty.  This means that there is sufficient room for more bourbon.
